I am honoured to be voted and appointed as the OACI president during the International conference in Philadelphia USA in May 2004. I know that the position of International President is a SERVANT position and I fully intended to do exactly that, be a servant to the staff of OAC worldwide. It is an honour to be given the opportunity to serve the LORD in this capacity but I am also aware that there are a lot responsibilities that came together with such a position. I can only say that I will aim to trust the LORD for His wisdom and grace and strength to serve Him by working together with all the personnel within OACI and as well as outside.
OACs mandate has never changed and that is to Preaching the Gospel to the unreached everywhere and Equipping the Church to do the same. I intend to keep on encouraging and motivating our Evangelists and Support staff and Volunteers as well as the Leadership within the ministry to keep this focus in our hearts and minds at all times. I am very grateful to GOD for using OAC in the forefront of evangelism for more than 100 years now and I pray and trust that He will continue to do so as we remain faithful to Him and to His calling.
We are living in a world that is moving so fast in many ways and is changing all the time and we must be very aware of this but we must not change our message. Our message is still the same and that is the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST who died on the cross was buried but rose again on the third day. OAC is committed to preach this same message today and in the coming days. Our methodologies must be reviewed all the time and change if need be in order for us to communicate effectively to the generation that we are seeking to reach. It is my prayer and hope that OAC worldwide will continue to be in the cutting edge and forefront of evangelising this generation. That we will continue to look up and see that the harvest is ready and we must do our best to gather in that harvest while there is time. That we will also pray and equip and help to thrust out harvesters into the field to gather in that same harvest. That we will all continue to love the LORD with all our hearts and have deep compassion for the lost in our world today. That we will do everything possible by GODS amazing grace and His wisdom and strength to reach so many people with the gospel of JESUS CHRIST our only hope for today. (Colossians.1: 27). That we will all be faithful to LORD of the harvest and to the task of harvesting until He comes back again.
Keep on keeping on and be faithful.
