'I grew up on an island with tradition and myth stories engulfing my life,' says Wesele, our newest evangelist with OAC Fiji. 'Rebellion against families, village and school was part of me. Through the years I've had Christian missionaries come to me with the gospel, but I turned them down. Then in 1997, an event happened that totally changed my life, or should I say, opened my life to God. My best friend since childhod committed suicide. That was the beginning of my search for peace, love, purpose and God.' Wesele came to Christ and began sharing his faith in open airs, schools, churches, in the mountains and out at sea. OAC invited him for training in New Zealand, where he learned effective methods for frontline evangleism. Now he says he is 'ready to carry the torch of the gospel, passed down by early missionaries, to the rest of the world - whatever the cost.'
