Australia

More than 200 people attended OAC's 28th annual seminar in Melbourne. It was called Creative Children's Ministry. There were Sunday school teachers, religious education teachers, beach mission workers, after school club workers and so on. All had a common desire to be more effective in communicating God's word to children. Effective sessions included Puppetry, Leading children to the Saviour, Using the Bible with children, Sketching techniques, Music, Storytelling and Drama.

At the other end of the age spectrum, OAC is also expanding its ministry to older people in nursing homes, retirement villages and senior citizen's clubs. By the year 2011, the proportion of Australia's population over 65 will have increased by 60% and over 85 by 140%. The message of God's love and forgiveness is presented in a variety of ways to these people through music, poetry, illustrated messages, singing and gospel literature. For some, it will be the last time they hear the gospel before eternity.
