Nineteen years ago, our evangelist Ben van den Akker took a team of thirty people to a camping site at Elzenhof. Ben offered to do children's meetings, but the owner hesitated because it was not a Christian camp. Finally he allowed it and about 30 came. A year later, Ben offered again. The owner agreed and the number of children attending increased. A year later, the owner phoned asking if Ben and his team would come again and so it became an annual event. At the beginning, they did their meetings in the farm barn, in the middle of tractors and machines. But over the years all the machines were moved out to make room for their programme. The owner started having a Sunday morning service. Now he and his wife are very committed Christians. There are now seven weeks of evanglism programmes for children. In the Sunday morning service more than 200 people come and in the children's programme more than 60 come, along with 25 teens. There are many stories of people whose lives have been changed. God is doing great things, which all began when Ben asked to hold a children's meeting.
