Ecuador - reaching the Amerindians

In Ecuador, 26% of the population is Amerindian. They live mostly in very closed Roman Catholic communities. David and Monica of OAC Ecuador were invited by a little church (12 members) in an indian community called Olmedo, to present the gospel in the open air. Once there, the Catholic authorities called the people telling them Protestants had come to break their traditions, etc.. In a few minutes a crowd came towards the film meeting, where people were already watching the Jesus film. Some had stones and an angry woman had gasoline to set the OAC truck on fire. God miraculously delivered them.

This became a big issue among the other indian communities, who rejected this behaviour. God then used this event to give our evangelists grace before them. They have now presented the gospel in 15 other communities near Olmedo, with a great response. Approximately 980 indians have heard the gospel and these precious souls are receiving follow up by this little missionary church. Bible studies are being held in four different communities. God is doing amazing things. Praise God for protection!
