New Zealand - immigrant outreach

Chinese immigrants have had a long history in New Zealand. Recently, immigrant has increased, mainly from Hong Kong and taiwan. A Chinese Mandarin church in Aukland sponsored an evangelistic programme led by OAC, which drew an average of 150 children each day. about 60% were from non-christian homes. Robert Siakimotu told Bible stories using flash cards and a sketchboard and was translated into Mandarin. Thirty responded and were counselled by a team from the church. Now the church is making contact with their parents and organisaing future programmes to reach them with the gospel.

OAC is working closely with the Chinese churches mainly in the aukland area, to help them reach their own people with the gospel. OAC campground and park ministry (Operation Jerusalem) last summer resulted in 30 church teams going out with 10 to 50 on each team and over 200 people counselled, mostly for salvation.
