NEW ZEALAND TRAINING - School Of Evangelism

While in England, God spoke to me about raising up church evangelists. Upon my return to New Zealand I sought permission to run the `OAC Ministries School of Evangelism’ by way of night classes.

Confirmation came the next morning when our training director enthusiastically gave the go ahead, and an evangelist come to see us. The first thing he said was that he needed training!

The course consists of six modules over 40 weeks, and covers everything the normal SOE does.

Practical Outreaches - Almost every weekend, since September until early December 04, there have been outreaches. These included one-to-one witnessing, open airs, children’s programmes, and door knocking etc.

Tawa Market Day - On Saturday 4th September we joined with Tawa Anglican Church for an outreach at Tawa’s Market Day. Two girls gave their lives to Jesus and are being followed up by the Anglican Church.

Rata Street School Outreach - On Sunday 14th November 04, the “Evangelism Extreme” students and the Operation Jerusalem “On The Edge” teams, joined together for a children’s programme demonstration. It was run by the OAC Palmerston North Branch staff. After hearing a clear gospel message, 11 children prayed to give their lives to Jesus.

One to One Witnessing - not only have the students been sharing Jesus during the organised outreaches, but during the week as well. One young man, who had never shared the Gospel before, led four people to the Lord in one week and witnessed to many more. He and others are getting together to encourage one another, and go out together—it’s awesome!
