GERMANY

Christmas markets - our second season: Christmas markets are attracting thousands of people into the towns. Small log cabins are used for selling different things such as handcraft, books, food, and the like.

At this time of the year, OAC Germany is kept busy helping the local church, by being present at the Christmas market in their town. In the middle of the market there is a stage where a choir can sing Christmas carols and sketch board preaching is possible.

Eisleben in East Germany: - A Christmas market is held in this town over a period of several days and the local Brethren Assembly has a vision of bringing the gospel to the people here. OAC workers were invited to help them. After different open airs, and lots of conversations with different people, the brothers and sisters in the church became excited about the work they were doing.

Some weeks later, the mayor of the town asked the leader of that precious church, to help the town at the next years Christmas market. The mayor’s suggestion was to do a one week kids meeting at the market. His idea was that the parents could take the children to the "Story house" (a specially prepared log cabin) while the parents went shopping at the Christmas market. Praise the Lord for such opportunities!
