OACI Update, 2006
CHICAGO and MOODY
Training and equipping the harvesters Things at Moody have been progressing very nicely. When it seems as though things are getting tough and impossible, God provides strength and grace and He has been bringing me through. Open-air evangelism has been going extremely well. If anything, I am most excited about the leaders in each group. They are, for the most part, very qualified for the ministry of the Gospel. It has been a joy to pray for future leaders this week, that I might replace myself and that God's name would be preached on Chicago streets 'till He returns.
Just recently I looked through old year books and found that open-air (Student Outreach) has been here since 1977. So it is amazing to be involved in that history and I hope to pass it on as they have. Outreaches have been exciting. Last Wednesday we were stopped by a policeman due to the fact we didn't have a street permit. It seems they are cracking down on that. This is no problem though, since we just got some. Saturday team works among children and it went very well last week. One child accepted Christ.
We go out today again, Friday and Saturday (like every week). Please pray for us:
-That each team would be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus, as He uses us.
-That God would continue to raise up leaders
-That God would provide open doors for the gospel
-That He would direct the leadership
-That He would be glorified and bring this dead city to life!
-and me, that I may be bold and wise in everything I do.
Thank you, God bless.
