Ecuador 2005
The harvest is ready in the military and police On April 6 we had planned to fly in the morning, it was raining so much that it was impossible. We prayed and by noon the sky just opened up and we all flew in an ARAVA plane from the ARMY. We flew for one hour towards the Amazon river, very close to Peru. We preached and showed a film to the 196 soldiers that are protecting our frontiers with Peru. The next day we preached in a very primitive Indian community that speak the Peruvian quechua language. When we asked if they wanted to receive the Lord in order to be reconciled with God, the chief raised His voice and told David we all need to receive the Lord Jesus. This is such a remote Indian tribe, it was very exciting to bring the gospel to them. The next day they fly back to Shell Mera. In the afternoon they did an open air meeting in a plaza in Mera with around 400 people. At night we had another film meeting, but since it was raining we only had 60 people coming, 43 came forward to receive the Lord. We worked along with a very good Church, the pastor was a great help during our time in the jungle, he came to almost all the meetings with his Church members to help counseling and discipleship. On April 7th we had one meeting in the morning with the police department (45) officials. After the police we had another meeting in a High schools (400 students). In the afternoon we had another meeting with the Police (45) policeman. Great response! At night we had a film meeting in a Coliseum in Puyo with 150 people, 30 came forward. On Friday we had an elementary school Assembly with 180 children. The night before the team left we ate pizza at home and share our personal testimonies. It was a very special night , many tears and joy for what the Lord did through their lives.
