Argentina

Argentina has a population of about 40 million, made up of mostly Spanish and Italian nationalities, along with 1.5 million American Indians. Independent from Spain in 1816, a military takeover occurred in 1976. This was replaced in 1983 with the restoration of democratic rule, which has led to a growing economy and restructuring. While Roman Catholicism has state support, there is freedom of religion. Evangelicals number about 11%.

OACI in Argentina

Raul & Lolita Giugni are pioneering our first branch of OAC in Argentina. Raul is Argentine, and his wife Lolita is Ecuadorian. After being trained by OAC in Ecuador, they moved to Argentina in June 2008, and have made their OAC base in Cordoda, a city of 1.5 million. Evangelical churches there are already interested in Raul conducting evangelistic outreaches with them.

The ministry of OAC Argentina will include open air meetings in plazas and neighborhoods, school assemblies, and outreaches at beach resorts. While based in Cordoba, we are trusting God to use the OAC ministry in many parts of Argentina.

As Raul and Lolita live and minister by faith, they need our prayers and support.
